Titans News!
Dear football players and parents,
We have so many new things going on this month that we thought it would be best to send a newsletter so you
have all the information in one place. We hope you are enjoying the season so far and looking forward to a great game this
week!
Thank you!
• A HUGE Thanks to all the parents who went to bat and drummed up donations from their companies to help
us get our awesome uniforms! Our sponsors are: Dr. Callandro, Playmakers Sporting Goods, Daniel Contracting, Rigazzi’s,
Drymasters, D&E Electric, Inc., Just Pools, Custom Tree and lawn, and Fun Jumps of St. Louis.
• A Huge thanks to Playmakers for doing a great job with our uniforms and working longer than loooong
hours to make sure we had them before our first game.
• A thank you in advance to all the parents, siblings, grandparents, neighbors, and friends who will be
playing many roles this season for our team such as chauffeur, doctor, videographer, photographer, and football officiant!
You are greatly appreciated and a huge part of the success of this team.
• A thank you to everyone that helped at the carwash. We raised over $1,000 toward our uniforms!
• A thank you to the Haggelsteins for having us all over for the Helmet Cleaning party! We appreciate
you welcoming us into your beautiful home.
• and Thank you to James Range for setting up and maintaining the Titans halfback website. You can now
go online and see practice and game photos, leave your teammates messages, check out the lastest information from your coaches
and team moms, check the schedule (coming soon), and look at important upcoming events. Go to www.jcya.org – Halfback
Titans.
Attendance
I wanted to clarify the attendance policy that the coaches and moms think is important for our team to adhere
by. I ASSURE you your son will NOT sit the bench for missing a practice or two or showing up late here and there. Things happen
that cause delays and school events do take rank over extracurricular activities. I know we have put a great deal of money
into our children being on this team and playing football. We have also invested in our children gaining some important lessons
on the field and some important values off the field that football can teach like respect, accountability, determination,
and learning how to handle disappointments that will push them to work harder to achieve goals.
To gain these lessons the kids have to be at practice more times than not. The kids are learning new plays and
improving on old ones at each practice and it would be a disadvantage to the kids that are there on a regular basis when their
teammate who is supposed to be covering them doesn’t understand what they are supposed to be doing. This could cause
unnecessary injuries which of course none of us would want. There are some big kids who hit hard on the way to our Superbowl!
I hope this better explains why we feel that adherence to an attendance policy is important for everyone! If
any parent is ever in need of help getting there son to or from practice the moms and coaches are more than happy to help!
Just let us know!

Coming soon… James Range, Jr. has volunteered to tape the games for us and our Team Moms will be editing
the videos. If you have any video editing experience and would like to volunteer to help, please consult the Team Moms. As
soon as we get the schedule we will be handing out DVD order forms. DVDs will be $5 each per game. Money earned from DVD sales
